Cross-play: first month results
Friends!
It’s been more than a month since we introduced cross-play on Nintendo Switch. Our main goals of adding this feature were to create a global console community, decrease your matchmaking time and improve regional matchmaking by matching people from the same region on different platforms.
From our internal statistics, we can see that we managed to achieve these goals, and, beyond any doubts, this is good news. However, we continue following your feedback and noticed that some of you faced technical inconsistencies after the cross-play was introduced. We understand your concerns, and they have been addressed to the development team for investigation.
While we’re exploring multiple ways of improving your gaming experience, we invite you to try disabling cross-play on your devices in case you faced such issues. Please note, that it may result in an increased match-making time as we have separate queues for players with enabled and disabled cross-play.
- To disable the cross-play, you need to open the game settings and untick the box (see the screenshot below).
We would like to remind you that we continue working on a global solution for all Nintendo Switch players that will ensure fair game play experience for everyone. We will update you on the situation as soon as we can.
Thank you for your support and see you in the game!
